In Karbasa polo there are two varieties ,this is one of them.
Ingredients :
- Raw rice -1 cup (heaped ).
- Black gram dhal – 1 tbsp (heaped ).
- Grated coconut -1 tbsp.
- Red chillies -1-2.
- Black Pepper corns -8-10.
- Fenugreek -few.
- Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp .
- Salt to taste.
- oil just enough to fry.
Method :
- Clean and soak rice,dhal,chilli, pepper and methi together in water for 2 to 3 hours.
- Grind every thing together with coconut and turmeric powder to smooth paste like masala dosa consistency
- Keep over night. Then add salt. Dilute the batter with little water if necessary.
- Heat a Tawa spread the dosa as thin as possible.
- Fry on both side with enough oil till the dosa is crisp
- Serve with coconut chutney or fresh Coconut gratings.
