Karbasa Polo ( Dosa )

In Karbasa polo there are two varieties ,this is one of them.

Karbas-polo

Ingredients :

  • Raw rice -1 cup (heaped ).
  • Black gram dhal – 1 tbsp (heaped ).
  • Grated coconut -1 tbsp.
  • Red chillies -1-2.
  • Black Pepper corns -8-10.
  • Fenugreek -few.
  • Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp .
  • Salt to taste.
  • oil just enough to fry.

Method :

  1. Clean and soak rice,dhal,chilli, pepper and methi together in water for 2 to 3 hours.
  2. Grind every thing together with coconut and turmeric powder to smooth paste like masala dosa consistency
  3. Keep over night. Then add salt. Dilute the batter with little water if necessary.
  4. Heat a Tawa spread the dosa as thin as possible.
  5. Fry on both side with enough oil till the dosa is crisp
  6. Serve with coconut chutney or fresh Coconut gratings.
