Curd Rice

Ingredients :

  • Rice -1 cup.
  • Milk -1 cup.
  • Curd – 1/2 cup.
  • Green chillies -4-5.
  • Salt to taste.

For Seasoning :

  • Ghee -1 tbsp.
  • Cashew nuts -1 tbsp.
  • Mustard -1/2 tsp.
  • Bengal gram dhal -1/2 tsp.
  • Black gram dhal -1/2 tsp.

For Garnishing :

  • Finely chopped coriander leaves .
  • Pomegranate seeds.
  • Seedless Grapes (optional ).

Method : 

  • Cook rice till it becomes soft. Drain water and allow it to cool.
  • Mash with hand and add milk to that.
  • Heat oil,add seasonings and fry,add slit green chillies,fry for a minute and pour over the rice.
  • Add salt and mix well.
  • Mix curd one hour before serving.
  • Garnish with Pomegranates seeds, Grapes, Coriander leaves.
  • Serve with Pickle.
