Ingredients :
- Green Tomatoes (un riped ) – 1/2 kg.
- Curd – 1 cup.
- Black Pepper -1 tsp (crush coarsely ).
- Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp (dry roast and powder )
- Turmeric powder -a pinch.
- salt to taste.
Grind together :
- Coconut -1/2.
- Green chillies -2-3.
- Cumin seeds -a pinch.
For Seasoning :
- Coconut oil -1 tbsp.
- Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp.
- Curry leaves – few
- Dry Red chilli -1 (optional ).
Method :
- Cut Tomatoes into 4 pieces.
- Cook with enough water,add crushed pepper and turmeric.Do not over cook Tomatoes.
- Grind coconut , green chillies and cumin seeds into fine paste.
- Add salt, ground paste and cook for a few more minutes.
- Add the fenugreek powder and curd just before removing from fire.
- Fry seasoning in coconut oil and add to the gravy.
