Ingredients :
- Beetroot – 1 big.
- Green gram dhal – 1 tbsp.
- Shallots – 3.
- Crushed dry chillies -1 tsp.
- Grated coconut -2 tbsp.
- Oil – 2 tsp.
- curry leaves – few.
- Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste.
Method :
- Peel and cut into fine pieces or grate beetroot.Sprinkle little water and cook in Microwave for 5 minutes.
- Soak dhal in water for 1/2 an hour.
- cut or crush onion.
- Heat oil ,add mustard seeds,curry leaves, chilli flakes and then onion and fry for a few seconds . Add drained dhal, sprinkle little water and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add coconut , cooked beetroot and salt mix well and remove from fire.
