Ingredients :
- Maida – 1 cup.
- Puree Ghee – 1 cup.
- Sugar -1 ¼ cup.
- Water – ½ cup.
- Cardamom powder – ½ tsp.
Method :
- Heat ghee in a kadai till it is melted in reduced flame.
- Add maida and keep stirring till it froths and good aroma comes Do this in reduced flame and take care that the colour of the maida does not change.
- Remove from flame and allow the mixture to come to room temperature.
- Heat sugar and water in another heavy bottom kadai .
- Stir sugar till melt.
- Boil the syrup rapidly in medium flame without stirring.
- To test the consistency of syrup. Put little syrup in a vessel containing water. The Syrup stay without spreading in the water.
- Remove the syrup from fire.
- Add fried maida, cardmom powder to syrup. Stir briskly and quickly till it blend. Add a pinch of soda and mix well.
- Pour on greased try quickly and pat the mixer for even distribution.
- Allow to cool for a while and cut into pieces when mixture is still warm.
