Ingredients :
- Maida -11/2 cup.
- Wheat flour -1/2 cup.
- Rawa -1 tbsp.
- Ginger – 1-2 inch piece.
- Green chillies -7-8.
- Curry leaves – 4 springs.
- Ghee – 1 tbsp.
- Salt -as required.
- Water- enough to prepare dough.
- Oil -to deep fry.
Method :
- Grind chillies, ginger,curry leaves and salt to a fine paste.
- Mix maida, wheat flour and rawa in a mixing bowl.
- Heat ghee in a ladle and pour over maida,blend this using finger tips till it resembles fine bread crumbs.
- Mix ground paste with the flour.
- Sprinkle water and knead like chappathi dough.
- Keep aside under wet cloth for an hour.
- Knead well till it becomes soft,
- Prepare medium sized balls and rolls out like thicker chppathis.
- Prick top of Chappathi with a fork and then cut into squares or diamonds.
- Deep fry till crisp and golden.
