KASI HALWA

Ingredients :

  • Bottle gourd  – 3 cups.
  • Gar-dudhe
  •     ( or )
  • Ash  gourd
  • Milk    – 1/2 Cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 1 Tbsp
  • Cashew Nut & Kismis – 1 Tbsp
  • Cardamom – 1/2 tsp
  • Saffron – 1 pinch

Method : –

  • Grate Bottle gourd.
  •  Cook in a vessel with milk.
  • Cook till all milk is absorbed.
  • Add Sugar and heat in a medium flame.
  • Cook till halwa consistency is reached.
  • Add ghee at the end when it stick to the kadai.
  • Mix cardamom powder, fried nuts and saffron (soaked in little milk) after removing from the fire.
