Ingredients :
- Raw rice – 1 cup.
- Coconut – 1 cup.
- Powa ( beaten rice ) – 1 cup.
- Butter milk – 1/2 cup.
- fenugreek- 1/4 tsp.
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Jaggery ( grated ) – 1/2 cup
- salt to taste.
- Oil for frying.
Method :
- Soak rice in water for 2 – 3 hours.
- Soak fenugreek seeds and turmeric powder in butter milk.
- Soak powa for 5 minutes.
- Grind rice,grated coconut,methi seeds (fenugreek seeds ) with butter milk to a fine batter.
- Add jaggery and salt, blend it well.
- Add more butter milk or water to adjust the consistency of the batter.
- Final batter must be medium thick.
- Ferment it over night or 8 – 9 hours.
- Next morning heat tawa pour a ladle of batter,it’s a thick dosa so don’t spread the batter.
- Smear ghee or oil and close it with lid.
- Cook it in low flame for few seconds.
- Serve hot with butter.
