Bang Bale Kele Kachri ( Plantain Chips )

Ingredients:

  • Plantain ( Bang bale Kele ) Raw.
  • Salt
  • Oil for deep frying.

Masala for sprinkle :

  • Red chilli powder.
  • Asfoetida.

Variation

  • Kala namak powder.( Himalayan Black Salt )
  • Black Pepper powder.

Method :

  • Peel off the skin of the plantain.
  • Heat oil,slowly slice the plantain using chips slicer or mandolin slicer directly into hot oil.
  • When it is cooked sprinkle some salt water and stir.
  • Turn over the chips to cook both sides.
  • Once sure they are crisp use a strainer to take the chips out and place them on an absorbent paper to drain the excess oil off.Sprinkle masala powder when chips are still warm.
