Nendra-Banana

 Ingredients :

  • Ripe Plantain/banana ( Nendra ) – 2.
  • Grated coconut – 2 tbsp.
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp ( chopped ).
  • Green chilli  – 1- 2.
  • Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp.
  • Black pepper – 6 – 8 pods.
  • Jaggery -a lemon size.
  • Salt to taste.

For Seasoning :

Oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves.

Method :

  • Peel and cut plantain into round pieces.
  • Grind coconut,green chilli,cumin seeds,black pepper and coriander leaves into coarsely.
  • Heat oil in kadai add mustard when it start splutter add  curry leaves,banana pieces,ground masala,jaggery, salt with little water.Cook till it done.
  • Serve hot with rice as a side dish.
