Green Mango Panak

This is a combination of two traditional drinks such as Panak and Mango Panna which is served  in south and north India.Very refreshing during summer days.

Ingredients :

  • Raw green Mangoes – 2-3.
  • Jaggery cubes – 3-4 pieces.
  • Pepper- 2 tsp
  • Dry ginger (shunti) – 1 piece (powdered)
  • Salt – 1 tsp.
  • Water – 3 cups.

Method :

  • Keep raw mangoes in vessel in pressure cooker (Whole mangoes without removing skin )and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Allow to cool,and remove skin and mash the pulp properly.
  • Heat jaggery with water,until it is dissolved completely.
  • Add mango pulp and salt and boil few more minutes.
  • Add pepper and dry ginger powder.
  • Allow to cool and strain it
  • Dilute it according to taste.
  • Serve in a glass with / without ice according to taste
