Tomato-soup

Ingredients :

  • Tomatoes – 8 (big sized ).
  • Shallots – 4.
  • Garlic flakes – 4.
  • Cinnamon – 1 inch piece.
  • Cloves – 4.
  • Corn flour – 2 tsp.
  • Sugar – as per taste.
  • Salt and pepper powder – as per taste.
  • Butter – 1 tbsp.

Method :

  • Peel garlic and shallots.
  • Pressure cook tomatoes,garlic,shallots,cloves and cinnamon with enough water.
  • Cool down thoroughly and discard cloves and cinnamon.
  • Blend in mixer grinder and then strain through broad eyed strainer to remove seeds and skin.
  • If necessary dilute it with water and reheat with salt and sugar.
  • Mix corn flour with little water and add to the soup.
  • Cook till the flour loses its raw smell.
  • Just before serving sprinkle pepper powder.
  • Serve hot in soup bowl with butter and fried bread croutons.
