Banana Blueberry Smoothie

IMG_4837

Summer is a time for cool yogurt based drinks or smoothies. These rich, thick smoothies, made with fruits fill you up and are also made as a grab and go breakfast.

Have overripe bananas sitting in your fruit basket with no one giving it a second look??? Peel and freeze them to make yummy smoothies. Frozen bananas replaces ice which would water down your smoothie.

Here I have used fresh blueberries in my smoothie, you can use any sweet-sour fruit/berries in place of blueberries. Mix and match fruits to suit your taste or based on availability, add a sweet vegetable like carrots or even kale/ spinach to make it more healthy, just be sure to use a bit to avoid bitterness from seeping through. Add a handful of nuts to make it more thicker and add fruit juice to balance it. Get creative and Enjoy.

INGREDIENTS :-

  • Banana – 1 (I peel and freeze overripe bananas and use these to avoid ice)
  • Honey – as per taste (use less if banana is too sweet)

METHOD:-

  • Blend all the ingredients together , pour in a tall glass and Enjoy.
