
The menu in our kitchen changes when there in the weather . During monsoon we cook food that soothes and makes us warm and comfortable . Tora leaves delicacies is one such seasonal food . Freshly pluck Tora leaves and humble jackfruit seeds which are laying around in the pantry can be cooked into a tasty and healthy dish. Ingredients :
1 . Tora leaves – 4 cups .
2 . Jackfruit seeds – 2 cups finely chopped or crushed in the mortar pestal .
3 . Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup .
4 . Chilli powder or crushed flakes – 2 tsp .
5 . Grated jaggery – 1 tbsp .
6 . Mustard – 1 tsp .
7 . Oil – 1 tbsp .
Salt to taste .

Method :
1 . I have used a pressure pan to cook this . In a pan heat oil , add Mustard when it splutter add chilli flakes and fry for few seconds .
2 . Add the jackfruit seeds with one and half cups of water and cook on pressure for two whistles . Switch off the gas .
3 . When the pressure releases , add the chopped Tora leaves , grated coconut , jaggery & salt . Cook till the water evaporates .
4 . Serve hot with rice and dal .
