
Ingredients :
1 . Tora leaves ( Taikilo ) – 2 – 3 cups chopped finely .
2 . Raw rice – 1/2 cup .
3 . Thor dal – 2 tbsps .
4 . Red chillies – 18 – 20 .
5 . Tamarind – 1 pea size .
6 . Asafoetida – a small piece or 1/2 tsp .
7 . Salt to taste .
Oil for deep frying .


Method :
1 . Soak rice and thor dal in water for 1 – 2 hours .
2 . Drain the rice and dal from water .
3 . Grind chillies , tamarind , asafoetida and salt without adding water .
4 . Now add rice and dal with very little water and grind to a coarse paste .

5 . Transfer it to a mixing bowl , taste and adjust the salt . Add chopped taro leaves and mix it well .

6 . Make round balls and slightly flatten it .


7 . Heat oil in kadai and fry this balls on medium flame till crisp and brown in colour .
8 . Serve hot .

Note : You can prepare this dish using drumsticks leaves and ivy gourd leaves also .
