
Tittori is Parsi Dal preparation . I altered it slightly to suit my taste and prepared using Butter Beans .

Ingredients :
1 . Butter beans – 1 cup .
2 . Onion – 1 chopped .
3 . Grated coconut – 2 cups + 2 tbsps .
4 . Garlic – 4 – 5 pods .
5 . Ginger – 1/2 inch piece .
6 . Red chillies – 4 + 4 bedgi or kashmiri .
7 . Coriander seeds – 2 tsp .
8 . Cumin seeds – 1 tsp .
9 . Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp .
10 . Tamarind – a pebble Sized .
11 . Jaggery – a pebble Sized .
12 . Garam masala – 1 / 4 tsp .
13 . Coriander leaves – 1 tbsp ( chopped ) .
14 . Oil – 2 tsp .
Salt to taste .
Method :
1 . Wash and soak butter beans in water over night .
2 . Extract milk from grated coconut . Keep separate the thick and thin milk .
3 . Cook beans in pressure cooker with enough thin milk . Take 3 – 4 whistles and simmer the flame and cook for 5 – 8 minutes .
4 . Grind together 2 tbsps grated coconut , coriander seeds , cumin seeds , chillies , garlic , ginger , turmeric powder , tamarind and jaggery to a fine paste .
5 . Heat oil in kadai add chopped onions and fry till transulant , add ground masala fry till oil leaves the side .
6 . Now add cooked beans and salt , cook for few more minutes . Add the thick coconut milk and switch off the flame .
7 . Garnish with chopped coriander leaves .
8 . Serve hot with Chapathi , Poori or any dosa , it can goes well with Rice also .
