
Parathas are Indian flat bread . There are so many variations and this version is stuffed with peas . Stuffed parathas are filling dish and taste great . This recipe of green peas paratha can be wonderful treat on breakfast table and having it in the lunch box of kids . It ensures good health to them for the simple reason that peas are quite nutritious and have ample of fibre and antioxidants .
Ingredients :
1 . Fresh green peas – 1 1/4 cup .
2 . Green chillies – 2 .
3 . Garlic pods – 7 – 8 .
4 . Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp .
5 . Saunf ( fennel ) – 1 tsp .
6 . Oil – 2 tsp .
Salt to taste .
For outer dough :
1 . Wheat flour – 1 cup heaped .
2 . Ghee – 1 tbsp .
Salt to taste .
Ghee or oil for frying .

Method :
For preparing outer dough :
1. In a mixing bowl take flour, salt and ghee . Rub well so ghee is mixed in with flour .
2 . Sprinkle water gradually and knead to a soft dough .
3 . Pat and knead the dough for several times ( atleast 5 – 8 minutes ) .
4 . Cover the dough and keep aside for 30 minutes .
How to prepare inner mixture :
1 . Wash and drain the peas properly .
2 . Grind coarsely along with green chillies and garlic

3 . Heat oil in sauce pan and add Fennel seeds .

When it starts to splutter add ground paste along with salt and turmeric powder .

4 . Saute for about 5 – 8 minutes in low flame or till moisture is absorbed .

5 . Keep aside to cool .
6 . Make equal size balls .

Procedure to make parathas :
1 . Make equal size balls from outer dough ( slightly bigger than inner mixture ) .
2 . Roll in to circle .
3 . Place the green peas mixture ball in it .

4 . Close and seal well all around .


5 . Press and dredge in wheat flour



And roll out in to thick paratha .
6 . Heat tawa and fry these parathas using ghee or oil for both sides while frying .

7 . Serve hot with curd and pickle .
