We call ourselves the “Mallya Khandaan”.
Cooking is in our blood. This blog is run by the three women in our family. Suprabha Mallya, my mother, who mainly specializes in Konkani GSB cuisine. She’s a pure vegetarian who can cook a mean fish curry without tasting it. However, she is an expert in vegetarian fare. I remember coming home from school to a house smelling of baking nankatai biscuits and fried bajos. Sunayana Mallya Pai, my sister, enjoys trying out new cuisines. My only complaint is that she never seems to find the time to post her recipes. She experiments a lot in the kitchen and is my go to culinary encyclopedia. Her collection of cookbooks is what I hit up whenever I feel like experimenting. Finally, ex-runt of the family (my niece, Tara nudged me out of the picture followed soon after by Maya) , Me. I am a foodie through and through. I experiment a lot with new ingredients and specialize in non-vegetarian fare and desserts.
