Mambazha Pulissery ( Curd based Mango sweet curry )

Mambazha-pullissery

Ingredients :

  • Ripe Mangoes ( Wild Variety ) – 4.
  • Grated coconut – 1 cup.
  • Curd – 1/2 cup.
  • Jaggery – 1 pieces .
  • Green chilies – 4.
  • Red chili powder – 1/2 tsp.
  • Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp.
  • Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp.
  • Fenugreek powder – 1/4 tsp( dry roast and powder it ).
  • Salt to taste.

For Seasoning :

  • Oil – 1 tsp.
  • Mustard seeds – 1 /2 tsp.
  • Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp.
  • Curry leaves – 1 sprig.
  • Red chili – 1

Method :

  • Peel the mangoes.
  • Boil in enough water with green chilies,chili powder,turmeric powder, jaggery and salt.
  • Grind coconut to a smooth paste with cumin seeds.
  • Add this to the boiling mangoes.
  • Cook it for a few more minutes.
  • Switch off the heat, add blended curd to it and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and when they start to crackle add cumin seeds, curry leaves and red chili.
  • Add the seasoning to mango curry .
  • Sprinkle fenugreek powder and mix it well.
  • Serve with rice.
